An Assistant Professor at the Sanskrit College and University, Kolkata, Dr. Sinha is a distinguished scholar in ancient Indian and world history. A recipient of the Karwaan Book Prize 2022 for his monograph ‘From Dāśarājn͂a to Kurukṣetra: Making of a Historical Tradition,’ he has also edited the acclaimed volume ‘State, Power and Legitimacy: The Gupta Kingdom.’ Recognized by the Indian History Congress with the Vijay Kumar Thakur Memorial Award in 2016 and 2017, his research delves into early Indian intellectual, social, and political history.
