Sudeep Chakravarti

Sudeep Chakravarti is a chronicler, historian, columnist, and educator whose work examines history, ethnography, culture, conflict, and political life, particularly in eastern and northeastern India. His books include The Bengalis: A Portrait of a Community, Plassey, Red Sun, Eastern Gate, Highway 39, and Fallen City, a socio-political study of violence and public life. He is currently working on a new book set in early Timurid India, exploring power, belief, and society.
