SV Srinivas

S.V. Srinivas is a professor at the School of Arts and Sciences, Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. His research focuses on the intersections between popular culture and mass politics in India. He is the author of Megastar: Chiranjeevi and Telugu Cinema after N.T. Rama Rao (Oxford University Press, 2009), and Politics as Performance: A Social History of the Telugu Cinema (Permanent Black, 2013). His commentaries on film and media have been published in Business Line, Frontline, Outlook, The Indian Express and The Times of India.
