Anirudh Kanisetti is a historian and author of Lords of the Deccan and Lords of Earth and Sea, books that explore medieval South Indian history. He writes the Thinking Medieval column for ThePrint and hosts the podcasts Echoes of India and YUDDHA. He has received the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar, the Ramnath Goenka Sahitya Samman, and Tata Literature Live’s Non-Fiction Book of the Year Award. He has worked at MAP Academy and the Takshashila Institution, and received grants from prestigious institutions and foundations.
